Updating the lifetime of Bank-Cert, e-Cert (Organisational Role) and e-Cert (Encipherment) to the maximum of 3-year

Starting from 21 August 2024, Hongkong Post Certification Authority (HKPCA) will only offer e-Cert with a maximum of 3 years validity period due to security reasons. Any e-Cert application with validity period of more than 3 years will not be accepted.

For Bank-Cert, e-Cert (Organisational Role) and e-Cert (Encipherment), the validity period are updated as follows:

Bank-Cert (Personal) / (Corporate) / (Bank)	One year, two years, three years, four years or five years	One year, two years or three years
e-Cert (Organisational Role), e-Cert (Encipherment)	One year, two years, three years or four years	One year, two years or three years

The validity period of other e-Cert types remains unchanged.
