TDC's Trade Portal Promotes Hongkong Post e-Cert Among SMEs
Users of Trade Development Council's (TDC) tdctrade.com can enjoy a HK$150 on-site registration waiver of Hongkong Post's e-Cert until September 30. Door-to-door e-Cert delivery service to successful applicants through the dot com is also free.
e-Cert is a legally recognised digital certificate of Hongkong Post developed to help Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) handle business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce operations.
Hongkong Post and TDC have today (July 12) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate SMEs to apply for e-Cert online.
Mr. P C Luk, Postmaster General said: "SMEs, with limited IT resources, are particularly concerned about security and credibility issues in conducting business online. Hongkong Post is happy to work with TDC, the fore-runner of e-commerce, to promote e-Cert to SMEs. The co-operation also helps accelerate the application of e-commerce in Hong Kong"
Mrs. Anna Lai, Deputy Executive Director of TDC said: "By providing convenient on-line enquiry and registration of Hongkong Post e-Cert on tdctrade.com, TDC is able to help promote e-commerce among SMEs and build our trade portal into a one-stop-shop of trade utility services on the Internet."
Users of tdctrade.com can make enquiries and submit e-Cert applications via (URL: http://www.tdctrade.com/hkpost/). All enquiries and applications will be passed to Hongkong Post for immediate follow up.
From August onwards, TDC and Hongkong Post will organise seminars to brief SMEs on e-Cert.
