Hongkong Post Bank-Cert (Personal)
Hongkong Post Bank-Cert (Personal) certificate is issued to individual who has a bank account with the Registration Bank identified in the certificate and who is 18 years of age or over. Bank-Cert (Personal) certificates issued via a particular Registration Bank can only be used by the Subscriber in Designated Transactions specified opposite the name of that Registration Bank in Appendix E of the Bank-Cert Certification Practice Statement for such type of Bank-Cert.
Currently, Registration Bank(s) listed in the following table have made use of Bank-Cert (Personal) in their online banking system for Designated Transactions as specified in Appendix E of the Bank-Cert Certification Practice Statement:

* "Wing Lung Bank Limited" is renamed to "CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited" with effective from 1 October 2018.
A Bank-Cert (Personal) certificate contains the following information of the Subscriber:
- Subscriber's name registered with the Registration Bank;
- Email address (optional);
- Name of Registration Bank; and
- A unique Subscriber Reference Number
Hongkong Post Bank-Cert (Personal) certificate may be issued with a validity period of 1 to 3 years. The Registration Bank shall pay all subscription fees and administration fees.
Please note:
- Starting from 21 August 2024, Bank-Cert (Personal) is issued only with a maximum of 3 years validity period. For details, please refer to the relevant announcement.
Reliance Limit of Hongkong Post Bank-Cert (Personal)
The "Reliance Limit" as defined under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance in respect of one Bank-Cert (Personal) certificate is HK$200,000.

Note: With effect from 31 March 2010, Hongkong Post Certification Authority has terminated all Registration Authority ("RA") for old version of Bank-Cert operation and ceases to issue old version of Bank-Cert.
